Mexia MD to address AIPC Sales and Marketing Summit on social media at IMEX, Frankfurt

Mexia Communication’s MD Kursha Woodgate has been invited to address the forthcoming gathering of sales and marketing leaders from around the world as they gather for the AIPC (the International Association of Congress Centres) annual sales and marketing summit at IMEX Frankfurt on May 22nd.  Representatives from the world’s top conference and convention centres will be in attendance, from as far afield as South Africa, Australia and Canada, to participate in a strategic session on social media and how it can benefit convention centres, in particular integrating with other marketing techniques.

Mexia Communications expands as demand for social media services increases

Meetings and events specialist PR and marketing consultancy Mexia Communications has expanded operations following a successful 2010.  The firm has recruited two new team members and taken new office space in Henley-on-Thames.  Nickie Gray joins the marketing team while Jon MacPhie expands the firm’s social media services.

Nickie brings a wealth of marketing and events experience, having previously run distributor marketing initiatives and events at Microsoft and other marketing roles.  Jon brings an injection of new blood into the firm, with experience in the hospitality sector at leading caterers Heathcotes and hotel brand Crowne Plaza.   Jon fortifies the team with a strong technical ability in a range of social media platforms.

ABPCO appoints Mexia Comms to run PR campaign

We are delighted to announce that we have been appointed by ABPCO (Association of British Professional Conference Organisers) to run its PR campaign in the meetings and events trade sector.  The appointment forms part of a wider initiative to broaden the remit of ABPCO, raise awareness of the association as the UK’s primary professional body representing individual PCOs and expand its membership base.
