Raising the profile of RIBA Venues among UK meeting planners

Mexia was appointed by RIBA Venues to raise its profile among UK meeting planners and to position the central London venue as a large, flexible space ideal for conferences, receptions, meetings and dinners for up to 400 people.

Working closely with the team at RIBA Venues, Mexia created a 12-month PR programme which combined a steady stream of news with more in-depth comment, opinion and feature opportunities to support the venue’s core messaging and to help build reputation over time.

Mexia also supported RIBA Venues’ client showcase event, which welcomed 200 event organisers and followed a Speakeasy theme, by producing content for the invites as well as inviting media.

Mexia was also appointed to set up a social media strategy for RIBA Venues. This included profiling followers and producing a follower building strategy, geo tags, hashtag strategy, content strategy, content sources, defining parameters on Twitter and posting wedding content to a dedicated Facebook page.

The Result

Mexia produced 15 press releases for RIBA Venues in 12 months, covering a range of topics from new team members and financial results to event contract wins and partnerships. We also produced a range of blogs for RIBA and secured feature comment opportunities in key UK event publications.

This resulted in 65 pieces of media coverage for the venue across its target media with an estimated reach of 2.8m readers in the 12 month period.
