ABPCO has today launched a series of workshops aimed at providing practical insights into events technology for PCOs. Branded ‘TechNOphobia’, the workshops are designed to provide hands-on experience of using a wide variety of apps, smartphones and tablet devices to enhance delegate experience and audience interaction. The first workshop will be held at the ICC Birmingham on July 12th and will focus on iPad audience interaction tools, presented by app specialist firm Technology4Events.
Brighton Centre has become the first purpose built convention centre to support ABPCO’s Conference Cloud campaign which calls for free wi-fi for conference delegates. The Conference Cloud, which launched in August last year, has secured 138 venue sites that have agreed to offer wi-fi free of charge to conference delegates and received more than 200 individual petition signatures in support of the initiative.
