Mexia Communications provides no-nonsense PR and marketing communications consultancy in the business-to-business sector. Mexia offers results-driven services, from developing marketing communications strategy and plans through to implementation of powerful PR campaigns. Mexia believes that the most effective communication is not complicated; it is clear, concise and consistent. In keeping with this approach, Mexia adopts the following five step planning framework:

Where are we now? - Current situation analysis, internal and external

Where do we want to be? - SMART objective setting, message development

How will we get there? - Audience segmentation, targeting and positioning

Which way is best? - Evaluation of different techniques to consider

How will we ensure arrival? - Measurement criteria, timings of evaluation and feedback

Mexia provides strategic consultancy given by experienced marketing communications and PR professionals. Founding Director Kursha Woodgate began life in the world of communications as an international trade journalist in 1992 before beginning a successful career in PR and subsequently Marketing Communications. Fluent in five languages, Kursha has built extensive knowledge of how to succeed in multi-national operations through  senior in-house and agency roles in pan-EMEA marketing, international events and pan-European PR.  Kursha has a true understanding of cross-cultural issues and international business, a result of many years living outside the UK in Italy, Spain, Belgium and The Netherlands.  Despite starting her PR career firmly focused on the IT sector, Kursha's experience spans a number of industries, including commercial property, conferencing, tourism, public sector, and not-for-profit.  Kursha is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds the CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing.

“Mexia transformed perceptions of UBC, re-positioning us as a major player in the UK serviced office market within just a few months... I can honestly say I am delighted with what Mexia has done for us. Before Mexia, I did not believe in PR, but now I’m a staunch supporter!”

Philip Grace
former MD, United Business Centres

"The Henley Literary Festival went from a standing start to getting 5000 people attending events.  We had no advertising budget and so the PR was absolutely key and Mexia came up trumps - we had masses of coverage in local and national press as well as radio and TV.  It was an impressive feat by any standards."

Sue Ryan
Director, Henley Literary Festival

"Kursha worked with admirable calm and efficiency to generate the best possible publicity for the Henley Literary Festival.  Kursha set up a number of interviews for me with local press, which undoubtedly boosted ticket sales for my own event as it was completely sold out.  I was most impressed."

Anna Pasternak
Daily Mail columnist and author

"Kursha was more than helpful in getting interviews organised [for the Co-operative Bank Henley Literary Festival]. She provided me with author's home phone numbers and was able to set up interviews within hours of my calling her, and I was inundated with fantastic photos. I don't think there was a single occasion that I could not reach her on the phone - she was always available and very happy to help me out of various crises!  For a journalist a good PR is the difference between enjoying doing a job and grinding your way through it."

Fiona Gray
Reading Evening Post

“Mexia has assisted with far more than a few press stories, they have helped us to develop a new tone and identity at the clinic, putting our own stamp on things and giving a fresh feel to our communications, from our new website to literature and even patient letters. We are truly delighted with what Mexia has done for us.”

Dr Chantal Simonis
Clinical Director, Wessex Fertility at The Freya Centre

"You did a fantastic campaign, and thank you for that.  The success on the day is always down to the hard work beforehand and you were certainly the significant part of  a successful campaign.  Tim and I were both hugely impressed by the work you did for ACC Liverpool."

Jacquie Rogers
Convention Centre General Manager
Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool

"Mexia certainly rose to the challenge...The feedback from the workshop was fantastic...We have already asked Mexia to help in other areas."
